right �Udenwa GOVERNOR Achike Udenwa of Chief Udenwa, who addressed journalists at Government
House Tuesday, emphasised that all the South-Easterners are now determined to
pursue the race for the presidency. He described recent resolutions of 19
Northern governors eyeing the 2007 presidency based on power rotation agreement
as personal opinion, which he said the governors are entitled to. According to him, the South-East has a case
and even some of the governors can see that there is injustice in the land
against Ndigbo especially in leadership positions. "I am appealing to them to help us. We
are only asking for their cooperation for we appreciate the fact that the
people of the South-East cannot make themselves president alone but need the
assistance of all," he said. Reeling out statistics to back up his
position, Udenwa pointed out that by 2007, the North would have had the slot
for 35 years while the South East ruled only for six months from January to
July 1966. "What an unfair proportion? I want
people to be candid about insinuation of 1999 agreement to rotate power between
the North and South. But who agreed? "Are you saying that we should forget
