National Bank's MD Not Removed - Oyinlola Osun From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has dispelled rumours that the Managing Director of Natio-nal Bank, Mr Kola Ayeye, has been removed from office. Oyinlola said Ayeye remains the Managing Director of the bank. A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Fatai Akinbade and made available to THISDAY in Osogbo said the government affirmed its confidence in the leadership position of Mr Ayeye as the Managing Director of the bank. The governor said the bank's management deserves commendation for reinvigorating the financial institution adding that the realignment of National Bank towards meeting the challenges of the 21st century had been yielding dividends. While calling on the teeming customers of the bank to disregard the rumour of the removal from office as the bank Managing Director, Prince Oyinlola stated that the state government still affirmed the leadership qualities of Mr Ayeye. Prince Oyinlola explained further that "the Osun State nominee to the board of directors of National Bank, Mr Muyiwa Akinbolagbe has been removed with immediate effect. He said that the letter of his removal from the board of the bank was communicated to the Group Managing Director of the Oodua Investments without further delay. Oyinlola therefore enjoined Mr Akinbolagbe to handover the bank properties to the Group Managing Directors of Oodua Investments with immediate effect.
