Gov Commends LG Chief's Performance Gombe From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe Gombe State Governor, Danjuma Goje, has singled out the Chairman of Kwami Local Government area, Alhaji Abdullahi Tafida, as an excellent performer. Goje, while speaking during a courtesy call on him at the Government House by the people of Mallari in Kwami Local Government area of the state, poured encomiums on the chairman for executing approved projects in his area as directed by the state government. According to the governor, over N200 million projects approved which included roads, electrification and drainages were awarded to reputable contractors by the chairman and completed on schedule. Goje wished other local government chairmen are like Tafida, who had dedicated his energy towards the rapid development of his area since he assumed office about five months ago. Said the governor: "I am impressed by the performance of your chairman and I want other chairmen and political holders to emulate him." He appealed to the people of the area to continue to vote Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and promised to ensure equal distribution of social amenities to all regardless of political, religious or ethnic inclination. Earlier, the chairman, who led the people of Kwami Mallari, commended the governor for approving laudable projects that are already benefitting the people of Kwami Local Government area. Tafida reiterated that they have confidence in the ability of the governor and that's why the people of the state elected him. He pledged his unflinching loyalty of his people to the PDP-led government both at the state and federal levels.
