FRIDAY , NOVEMBER 5, 2004   RAMADAN 23, 1425 A.H.           KNSG releases N57m students allowances By ADAMU ABDULLAHI KANO state Executive Council has approved the release of N57,562,800 for the payment of students allowances for the year 2003/2004. This was disclosed by the commissioner for local government and community development, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Rogo, while briefing the press on the outcome of the weekly state executive council meeting on Wednesday. He said the amount was released in line with the administration�s resolve to promote learning in a conducive environment through provision of necessary working tools and materials. Alhaji Rogo also stated that the council deliberated and approved the rehabilitation of Dawaki road in Nassarawa GRA, at the cost of N27,104,691.94 while the purchase of high density mattresses and beddings for government hospitals was also approved by the council. The commissioner however acknowledged the unflinching support the people are rendering to the administration in the state and called on them to continue. He concluded that the administration would continue to initiate positive masses-oriented programmes for the development of the state.
