The state Sector Commander, Mr. Edward Aondo Wase Zaruber who revealed this while speaking to news men in his office said, the move has become necessary having observed that most motorists in the state have little or no knowledge about road signs, a development which according to him has led to a lot of avoidable accidents. He said, already, the command has written to the state government for the allocation of a piece of land that would be used for that purpose. On the activities marking this year’s ember-month safety campaign, Mr. Zaruber said it put the project on hold for the Ramadan fast, but would resume its motor park rallies and public enlightenment after the fasting period. While appealing to motorists within the state to adhere to road and traffic rules, Zaruber also cautioned on the use of GSM while driving, as he said several lives had been lost on the use of mobile phones while driving.
