Dry cleaners in court over shirts, trousers Two dry cleaners of Tipper Garage, Gwarinpa, Abuja have been arraigned before an Abuja Senior Magistrate sitting in Jabi for allegedly refusing to give their customer, one David John, his 11 pieces of shirts and trousers. The two accused persons, one Philip Solomon, and Tochukwu Onyogwu according to the prosecution are charged with criminal breach of trust and theft contrary to sections 312 and 288 of the penal code law. The prosecution further told the court that on October 27, 2004 at about 8am the complainant reported the matter to Gwarinpa police station that the two accused persons had refused to give him his cloths that he deposited with them for dry cleaning. The prosecution also revealed that the accused stole the cloths and denied that the complainant ever gave them the cloths. The accused who were not represented by any counsel pleaded not guilty to the charges. The presiding magistrate, Hafsat Soso, admitted the two accused persons to bail in the sum of N40, 000 with one surety each in like sum. The case was adjourned to December 8, 2004 for hearing.
