MONDAY , NOVEMBER 8, 2004   RAMADAN 26, 1425 A.H.           Anambra PDP faction advised to return home The Special Assistant on Political Matters to Governor Chris Ngige of Anambra state, Chief Tim Egboka, has said that those opposing the governor were not genuine PDP members. Egboka told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka that such persons who saw nothing good in the state were operating from outside the state. He said if the opponents of the state government meant well for the people, they should feel free to return home and discuss matters affecting their people. �What we have in Anambra state is a PDP government, and the opposition group talking cannot claim to be genuine members of the PDP. They should prove to the people that they are genuine members of the PDP,�� he said. Egboka said genuine members of PDP could not be an opposition to the ruling party which they belonged to, and should not see politics as a guerilla warfare. He urged the people of the state to disregard any group outside the state who parade itself as the state executive of the party, adding that a court of competent jurisdiction had declared them illegal. �The PDP members in Anambra State cannot leave the party and join any group because of the activities of an illegitimate group. If the opposition members are true democrats, they should come home and abide by the law,�� he said.
