MONDAY , NOVEMBER 8, 2004   RAMADAN 26, 1425 A.H.           Dala rehabilitates Kofar Ruwa motor park with N120m By BINTA IBRAHIM WORRIED by the deplorable condition of Kofar Ruwa motor park, Dala local council chairman, Alhaji Mahmoud Sani Madakin gini has reiterated the commitment of the council to do rehabilitate Speaking to Daily Triumph in Kano, Alhaji Madakin Gini, said the motor park, received people traveling to various parts of the country and beyond. According to him many people use the motor park to travel to Sokoto, Maiduguri, Yobe, Katsina Zamfara and Kebbi states as well as Niger Republic. He said, his council had decided to tar all the road in the motor park pointing out that the motor park served as a source of revenue generation for the local government. Alhaji Madakin Gini, explained that the council had awarded four contracts worth N120 million out of which N17.6 million was earmarked for Kofar Ruwa motor park, saying culverts and drainages were constructed by his council in the motor park as part of erosion and flooding control measures. In another development, Alhaji Madakin Gini, has said that the sum of N180,00 was been spent by his council daily, as Ramadan feedings adding that each councillor was appointed as the chairman of the Ramadan feeding committee of his ward for better supervision. Alhaji Madakin Gini who assured the people of the area of his council's continued support, urged the Kofar Ruwa Motor park union to complement his effort towards revitalizing the park.
