The chairman, Senate Committee on Women
Affairs, Senator Daisy Danjuma has said that absolute dedication to duty has
been identified as the only success for development of any society.
Senator Danjuma stated this while answering
questions from Daily Triumph at the graduation ceremony of Class, 04 of the
Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND), young women's leadership council,
Abuja.
On the recent slapping at the Senate, She said
that there was nothing unusual in fighting at the Senate. She, however , she
condemned the act describing it as barbaric.
She also called for caution among colleagues in
the Senate, urging them to conduct themselves in manners that could
distinguish their status.
Senator Danjuma however urged Nigerian women,
especially the young ones to venture into active politics so as to increase
their number in the National Assembly.
According to her, women should not give excuse
for their failure to take certain positions in the country.

abrogate obnoxious laws inhibiting their aspirations for political offices.

strike, she advised both the NLC and the government to go into dialogue as
it is the best way to solve the problems.
