MONDAY , NOVEMBER 8, 2004   RAMADAN 26, 1425 A.H.           GSS Kawaji for Shell Cup By SALISU BASO GOVERNMENT Secondary School, Kawaji, Kano, has emerged to represent Kano state in the zonal elmination of the inter-secondary school soccer cup competition popularly known as Shell Cup in Ilorin, Kwara state, next month. The school defeated Government College, Tudun Wada by 7-1 in the final match played last Thursday at Rumfa College playground. They will play against their Zamfara, Kaduna as well as Sokoto counterparts in group one. They will start with a match against Zamfara and end with Kaduna state. Government Secondary School, Mariri took the third position after beating GSS, Zaura Babba, in a penalty shootout 6-4. Speaking after the match, the sports coordinator of the state ministry of education, Malam Ibrahim Garba, commended the principals of the schools for their cooperation and support.
