MONDAY , NOVEMBER 8, 2004   RAMADAN 26, 1425 A.H.           Islamic call lunches Ramadan feeding By SHEHU M. TAHIR THE world Islamic Call Society, Kano office, Nigeria, has commenced the just breaking meal for the holy month of Ramadan to the Muslim ummah across the state. The exercise was held at the school for Arabic Studies (SAS), last Friday. According to the Islamic call society, the feeding exercise will continue till the end of the holy month. It would be recalled that the exercise was initiated and implemented by the society in the state years back. According to one of senior officials of the society, such kinds of assistance is being carried out world wide. Daily Triumph, learnt that the assistance from the society is not the only activities it undertake as it also contribute in other areas like providing qualitative education, health among others. Some of the participants interviewed during the exercise said the nature of food is very qualitative which include chickens, meat and fish. Over one thousand Muslims attended the fast breaking meal for the holy month of Ramadan while hundreds of Muslims received the mudus of rice. The Islamic calls society is a Libyan based non-profit organisation but sponsored by the Libyan government to undertake humanitarian works across the world.
