Duke, Agagu to grace event as action begins today

GOVERNOR Donald Duke of Cross River State and his Ondo State counterpart, Olusegun Agagu, will be the special guests of honour at the 4th Peter Odili Swimming Championship which kicks off today in Port Harcourt.
Duke will be the special guest at the opening of the competition at the Diete Spiff Civic Centre today, while Agagu is scheduled to storm the venue for Saturday's closing ceremony.
According to the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Swimming Federation (NSF), Tayo Oreweme, Sports Minister, Mohammed Musa, will be the guest of honour throughout the duration of the championship, which showcases the best swimming talents in the country.
"We are privileged to have these esteemed Nigerians gracing this year's edition of the championship, Oreweme said, while disclosing that "we have confirmation that they will be present in persons at the championships and their presence will definitely go a long way in motivating our swimmers to strive to give their very best."
