Justice accuses NFA of neglect
By Nonso Mbaebie
FORMER Super Eagles midfielder, Justice Christopher condemned the attitude of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) towards the knee injury which he suffered during the Korea/Japan World Cup in 2002.
The midfield maestro, who spoke on Brilla Sports Radio yesterday from his base in Denmark, lamented the negligence he suffered while playing for his fatherland.
"Can you imagine! The NFA officials could not even put up a single call to ask how I am feeling. It is not the best way to treat a player," Christopher lamented.
The former Flying Eagles skipper stated that he was not begging for a call-up to the national team or money to settle his medical bills.
"I am not begging for any call-up from anybody. I am not begging for money to settle the medical bills which I incurred while in hospital. But all I am saying is that NFA does not know how to threat players. There must be a change of attitude from the officials," he stated.
The former Levski Sofia of Bulgaria player had the injury during the Korea/Japan World Cup while playing for the Super Eagles.
