Fadiga set for talks with Bolton
KHALILOU Fadiga is set to discuss his football future with Bolton this week.
The Senegal international returned to the club yesterday after having an automatic defibrillator implanted to try and correct his heart problems.
Fadiga is not expected to kick a ball for around six weeks, but his agent Charles Collymore said the player was very hopeful of resuming his career.
"He is optimistic of getting out there and playing in the near future. That is the end game," Collymore said.
Collymore also said the 29-year-old had been boosted by the backing he had received since collapsing on the pitch before last month's Carling Cup game against Tottenham.
"Khalilou has been overwhelmed with the amount of support he has had in the footballing world," Collymore said.
"Bolton has also set a standard for the support they have offered."
Fadiga, who will stick to light training over the next few weeks, signed a deal until the end of the season after spending two weeks training with Wanderers in September following his release from Inter Milan.
He also underwent surgery to try to correct his irregular heartbeat in May and is yet to start a game for Bolton " he was due to be on the bench against Spurs before he fainted.
