WEDNESDAY , NOVEMBER 9, 2004   RAMADAN 28, 1425 A.H.           PTA electrifies classrooms, hostels The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Government Secondary School, Fadan Kaje, Kaduna State, has electrified 12 hostels and 30 classrooms in the school. The Chairman of the association, Mr Julius Tokan, announced this during a meeting of the PTA in Fadan Kaje, Zangon-Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State. He said the electrification also covered three laboratories, a library, a store and staff quarters at a total cost of N662,000. The PTA chairman appealed to the state government to rescue the installed 300kVA transformer at Fadan Kaje by commissioning the project''. In his comments, the Principal of the school, Mr Tambari Tiokpat, lauded the efforts of the PTA and appealed to both parents and teachers to stand firm in inculcating moral values in students'. According to him, the task of shaping the behaviour of students is a collective one. ``The duty to instil discipline and courage lies in the hands of both the teachers and parents.'' He stated. Tiokpat lauded the state government ``for its special interest in rescuing the dwindling standard of education, especially through the renovation work currently in progress''.
