WEDNESDAY , NOVEMBER 9, 2004   RAMADAN 27, 1425 A.H.           Wikki �ll return in style --Babayaro VICTOR Babayaro, younger brother of Chelsea FC defender has rescinded his earlier decision to quit relegated Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, saying the players have resolved unanimously to stay back with hopes of returning the club to the Globacom Premiership League in the 2004-2005 season. The younger Babayaro told nigeriasports.com that "we (players) have held a meeting last week and have resolved to stay back to held the club regain promotion back to the Premier League. We have learnt have mistakes, although very late, but we hope to correct them for the good of the club and football." However, "all the players" Babayaro told nigeriasports.com have "pleaded with the state governor, Mu'azu Ibrahim for understanding" following the team's relegation to the Professional League in the 2004-2005 season. "We're not happy seeing our beautiful team go on relegation, but we hope that by next season we'll gain promotion to the Premiership again." Comparing events at Port Harcourt based Sharks FC where they gained promotion after one season in the lower division, Babayaro said the Wikki players were resolved to see the return of their club to the top division next year.
