WEDNESDAY , NOVEMBER 9, 2004   RAMADAN 28, 1425 A.H.           Works minister gets kudos for uplifting Islam THE minister of state for works and housing, Alhaji Saleh Shehu Hadejia has been commended for rendering various forms of assistance towards the propagation of Islam. The chairman of people Democratic Party (PDP) in Babura local government area, Jigawa state, Alhaji Sama'ila Maikanti Kanya, made the commendation while speaking to newsmen at his residence. He said the minister assisted greatly towards the construction of various Friday mosques in Jigawa state to allow Muslims Ummah perform their prayers comfortably. Alhaji Maikanti, cited the Takwasa Friday mosque in Babura local government area, as one of the mosque currently being financed by the minister personally, which has reached an advanced stage of completion. The PDP chairman called on all political office holders at local, state and federal levels, to emulate the humane and noble gesture of Alhaji Saleh Shehu Hadejia. He further stated that the minister is also assisting party members all the time to the extent that it had positively helped in maintaining the party in the state.
