Last Updated: Wednesday, November 10th, 2004 HOME | Previous Page ANPP takes Appeal Court justices to NJC over Adamawa poll By Rotimi Fadeyi, Snr Correspondent, Abuja   Five justices of the Court of Appeal have been taken to the National Judicial Council (NJC) by the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) over their judgment in the Adamawa State governorship election, which reaffirmed the victory of Governor Boni Haruna. In the petition to the NJC and Chief Justice Muhammadu Uwais by the counsel to the ANPP, Mike Ahamba, the party said the judgment of the Court of Appeal was not based on judicial precedent and sound the principle of law. The Justices are James Ogenyi Ogebe, Victor Oyeleye Omage, Olayiwola Aderemi, Musa Muhammad and Ikechi Ogbuagu. Attached to the petition was a critique of the judgment, which was delivered in Jos on July 5, 2004. The party cited instances in the judgment, which it said were not based on established principles of law to include: � The panel reversed findings of fact made by a trial tribunal when such findings were legally admitted, uncontroverted, unchallenged even under cross examination.
