The police have therefore established a monitoring team to move round the state to fish out the culprits in addition to further encouraging the Public Complaint Bureau to perform more efficiently The Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Chike Nwabuwa, said the force was not taking the issue of corruption lightly. He said the Commissioner of Police, Hezekiah Dimka, has decided that no erring or corrupt policeman would be spared. He said for sometime the police have noted the activities of policemen especially those posted to check points and that with the information gathered, it was time to give them a stiff battle. Nwabuwa said the monitoring team that is under the command of the police boss would also be supervised so that they do not join the guilty ones to condone evil. He added that the police have maintained headway in crime bursting and that criminal activities have reduced in the state, adding that the command intends to keep it that way. �We have succeeded in driving criminals out of the state and we are not yet resting on our oars.
