Ibori's acquittal
SIR: From an objective, unbiased point of view, the acquittal of Governor James Ibori is a serious indictment of the Nigerian judiciary. It appears that the judiciary itself cannot stand up for its own integrity. If a judge's evidence as having prosecuted a certain person in the past cannot stand up as sufficient evidence, then what can?
The judiciary like most other institutions in Nigeria needs to be overhauled otherwise our democratic experiment will be in jeopardy. God help the common man.
