MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2004           2007: Abia Consultative AssembIy endorses lkoh for guber slut THE Abia State Con sultative Assembly, a body of indigenes from all walks of life have thrown their support behind Chief H. I. Ikoh�s ambition of becoming the Governor of the state in 2007. Addressing the press after the meeting, leader of the Assembly, Prof. Atulomoh described their choice of Ikoh as a wise one, saying that the group has watched his style of politics of inclusiveness and consultativeness and has therefore decided that he is the right choice. �We need somebody who will bring our people together. We need peace, love and unity, then development will come. Chief Ikoh, he said, has the largest and most technologically advanced foam indus try East of the Niger in Ahuwa Oboro village Abia State. �I am talking about an industry worth more than 1.5 billion naira is it a joke? The Prof queried. �He has demonstrated what he can do. He is most likely to do more as governor. The group understands is needed to realize such a dream and is prepared for it. We will mobilize everybody financially, physically and psychologically,� he said. Speaking in the same vein, the director of Media and publicity, Chief Clement Ugoiji, said that the group enjoys the total support of Abia people, both at home and abroad. According to him, �all we want to achieve is to ensure that the next governor of Abia State is one that is acceptable by our people, and that should be somebody who will positively touch their lives and address their problems.
