KIRU local government council in Kano state,
has earmarked more than 100 million for the provision of social amenities
and roads.
A statement signed by Salisu Babangida Roni,
information officer of the council said that this was the council�s chairman
Alhaji Ali Datti Yako, while inspecting on going projects i the area.
Alhaji Yako, said that the council commenced
executing the projects in various localities in the area.
He explained that the projects awarded included
the construction of 5.5 km tarred road from Kwanar Zuwo to Zuwo at the cost
of N52,,260,000 million. and Kafin Maiyaki to Zaria road at the cost of
N18.097.000 million.
Alhaji Yako, also said that the council
approved the construction of drainage from Kofar Garin yako to Kofar Yamma
at the cost of N10,574,130.00 million and another drainage at Dogora town at
N11,297. 580.000 million.
He further disclosed, that the council resolved
to construct a permanent side for Yako and Dangora secondary schools and one
class room block at junior girls secondary schools Kafin Maiyaki.
The chairman, further stated that the council
constructed drift at Rafin guda in Bargoni and Shinkafi along Badafi roads
others are; carpeting at Juma'at mosque of Dansoshiya kotoko and Sakarma as
well as renovation of juma'at mosque at Kyarana and Gabari.
He therefore, appealed to the people to
cooperate towards smooth executive of the projects.
In another development Kiru local council spent
N1 million for the distribution of thirty generators and amplifiers to the
mosques and Islamic preachers in the area.
He made this known while distributing the
equipments to the Imams of the mosques in different villages.
He said that the council purchased equipment to
the mosques where electricity was not installed.
He also said the council provided the equipment with intentions
to promote Islam as such he urged the Muslims Umma to continue promoting
peace and stability in their preachings.
