Yes No Indifferent View results A’Ibom Schools Fiesta Thrills Mobil 11.18.2004 Oil giants, Mobil Producing Nigeria, say they are thrilled by the success so far recorded by the Akwa Ibom/NNPC/Mobil Schools Athletics Championship. Yemi Fakayejo, who works in the company’s Field Public Affairs Department, said "Mobil is happy to contribute to the development of our youths through sports and education." Fakayejo, who himself has been a pioneer contributor to the success story now in its fourth year said it was gratifying to note that products of the competition have gone on to win laurels for Akwa Ibom in national schools sports meets.  "We’re happy that products from the schools athletics championship have been instrumental to the superlative showing of the State at national competitions." It will be recalled that two years ago, Mobil instituted a one-off scholarship award that went a long way in adding value to the foremost sports competition in Akwa Ibom.  A total of N1.2 million was doled out to  about 100 students who emerged tops at the 3rd edition of the championship last year.
