Kwara United Fans Want Saraki to Probe Aide

The new management of Kwara United Football Club, a pro-league entrant from next season has announced former Enyimba sweat merchant, Kadiri Ikhana, as it's new Technical Manager.
Ikhana emerged from a list of seasoned coaches, which included Zachary Baraje and Kafaru Alabi. It is believed he landed the Kwara United job apparently owing to his track record of being the first indigenous coach to have piloted the Peoples' Elephant to the MTN/CAF Champions League victory after almost 40 years of fruitless attempts by other Nigerian club sides.
But soccer crazy fans of the Ilorin club side are crying foul over the emergence of the former Dream Team III coach insisting that he is being foisted on the team in the same manner Serbian coach, Papic Kosta-dinov was brought in last season with disastrous results.
The fans who massed at the state stadium Tuesday accused the Special Assistant on Sports to the Governor, Zachary Muhammad of having an 'hidden agenda' and a vested interest in the coaching job.'
The fans that spoke through Alhaji Oba Alapata said unless Governor Bukola Saraki showed a more physical interest in the affairs of the club, its fortunes may further nosedive beyond the pro-league status it finds itself.
Pointedly, the fans wants the Governor to revisit the Serb's stay with the club.
Alapata confessed that the fans have nothing against the new coach but expressed displeasure of how a single individual would always want to force his wish on the majority of the fans for his own selfish interests.
The fans' spokesman claimed that Ikhana had secured a coaching contract with a South African team and would leave the country in February for his new assignment "How are we sure that we are not into another Papic era?"
The fans who hurled invectives on the sports aide appealed to the Governor to institute a security monitor on the claims on his aide and as well have an independent monitoring team outside the present management to give him authentic feedback on the happenings in the team.
Efforts to get the comments of Muhammad proved abortive as he was said to be out on official duty when THISDAYSports called his office but the Special Assistant on Communication and Strategy, Bolaji Abdullahi promised that the Governor would not abdicate his responsibility on the club.
Ikhana, according to Ayo Bello, would be paid a on a sign on fee of N6million and a monthly salary of N300, 000 as the Technical Manager with an official car and a comfortable accommodation while he is to bring in his own choice coach who will become the chief coach.
