Addressing journalists on his way to Abuja, Kalu warned that the people of Abia State would not fold their hands and watch miscreants cause mayhem in the state. His words: "This morning (Wednesday) I had security reports that some politicians are trying at attack Abia. But we are not like Anambra State. We are equal to the task. We will respond within five minutes if they try it. We will be forced to take the law into our hands if the police would watch anybody to attack our state. I have told our people to be prepared for any eventuality. All the traders are ready to defend their state. If such a thing happens, it might not stop in Abia. It might go beyond Abia.
