From FAROUK ADAMU YAKASAI, Gusau
THE Global Network for Islamic Justice (GNIJ),
has condemned, in strong terms the barbaric killings in Fallujah (Iraq) by
US and its allies.
The GNIJ, a Non-Governmental Organisation based
in Gusau in a release made available to Daily Triumph also called for urgent
review of Muslim countrys relationship with America.
The deliberate killing of over 2,000 US
created insurgents or terrorists in Fallujah, the refusal to allow
medical and other humanitarian aid to the civilians are a catastrophe of
monumental proportion, GNIJ stressed.
The release signed by its vice president and
secretary general, Alhaji Ibrahim Tangaza and Alhaji Ibrahim Tudu
respectively, urged Muslim countries to boycott American and Israeli goods
and services.
The organisation while taking a swipe on US and
its allies for their flagrant disregard for international laws and
conventions, called on peace loving countries especially the Islamic
countries including Nigeria to think twice before signing or agreeing with
any so called international law, convention and human rights slogan.
They also observed that the inhuman, degrading
and barbaric attacks on the people of Fallujah which resulted in the killing
of a number of civilians mostly women and children is unprecedented in the
history of Iraq which has even suppressed that of Halabjah in March 23,
1985.
The GNIJ therefore while further condemning US
and its Iraq stooges in the war against Iraq, reminded leaders of Muslim
countries to resist being used, their inaction on vital matters of the day
is not only unfortunate, shameful and questionable but has created more harm
than good to Islam.
While describing the US action as negative,
arrogant and aggressive attacks on Muslims and Islamic sites, the release
further called on the 60-member IOC, 22 countries of the Arab league and the
Muslim World League to unite and speak out on behalf of over 1.5 billion
Muslims treading the earth by holding US responsible for all its atrocities.
