Yes No Indifferent View results Newswatch Wins NMMA Award From Okon Bassey in Port Harcourt, 11.29.2004 Newswatch Magazine emer-ged the winner of the WAMCO's Prize for Newspapers of the year 2004, while Punch Newspaper won the  Babatunde Jose's Prize for newspapers of the year at the Nigerian Media Merit Award (NMMA) night which held at Hotel Presidential weekend in Port Harcourt, Rivers  State. The Dele Giwa's Prize for the editor of the year (endowed by THISDAY) went to the editor of The Guardian, Mr. Debo Adesina, the NBC's Prize for Broadcast Station of the year went Channels Television. National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC)'s Radio Station of the year prize went to Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation while the Bisi Olatilo Show bagged the Television  Production of the year. Among dignitaries present at the occasion were Governor Peter Odili  of Rivers State, former Federal Minister of Information, Mr. Tony Memoh, Mr. John Momoh, who was on hand to receive NBC's Prize for Broadcast Station of the year which was won by his station  and other media executives from the print and electronic media. The night was enlivened by the presence of some celebrities who presented the award to recipients. Among  the presenters of the awards were PMAN President, Mr. Charley Boy and the Governor of Niteshift,  Mr. Ken Olumense. At the occasion, the Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Magnus Abe, used the opportunity top announce an endowment by Governor Peter Odili and his family.
