Ohanaeze Endorses Globacom Owerri Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo in Owerri, Imo State has endorsed Second Natio-nal Telecom Operator, Globacom as a company dedicated to the improvement of life and business of Nigerians in general and the Igbo man in particular. The company also used the occasion of the Igbo day toswitch on its Owerri operations as subscribers can now join their kits and kin to enjoy the Glo Mobile network. Speaking while receiving in the company's team from Lagos at the Imeobi (Inner Caucus) meeting at the Government House, Owerri, Professor Joe Irukwu, President General of Ohaneze, expressed his thanks to Globacom and indeed Dr Mike Adenuga over his commitment to ensure that the entire eastern Nigeria is covered by Nigeria's world class network. "I asked him why he has not covered the entire east up till now and he assured me that he was going to do that in the shortest possible time. The last time I talked to him, he told me that he had not slept in the past two months, all in the bid to bring Globacom live in the entire east, particularly Owerri, where Ohanaeze would be celebrating the 2004 Igbo National Day. Adenuga may not be an Igbo man, but he has shown us that he is worth a brother outside. He has demonstrated this not only in his commitment to improving the lots of Nigerians, but also in his employment policy by employing our people at various levels in all his organisations. He can well be called Nwanne di na mba. He identifies with the ideals of Ohanaeze, particularly, our efforts to unite Igbo people for national development", he said.
