NANS Counsels Govt on Crises Kwara National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has advised Kwara State government to raise a Special Advisory Committee comprising veteran students' leaders to handle all students-related matters in the state. At the presentation of an award to the state Governor, Dr. Olusola Saraki in Ilorin, the association urged the governor to intervene in the case of expelled Students' Union leaders at the University of Ilorin. NANS Secretary General, Mr. Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, who presented the award on behalf of the National President, Tony Nwoye, said the gesture was in recognition of Saraki's track record and concern for the less privileged since his assumption of office. He expressed appreciation to the state government and other top officials for facilitating the assignment of the award committee of NANS, which had earlier inspected the projects built by the state government. "The committee has come and has seen the good work of this administration. The National Secretariat has equally looked into the report and we are happy to be associated with a performing governor," Nwoye said and congratulated Saraki for earning the award tagged 'Performer Extraordinary."
