Monday, October 13, 2003 48-member committee set up to bury Okadigbo A 48-member national committee has been set up for the burial of the late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo who died in Abuja on September 25, 2003. The committee which comprises nominees from the six geo-political zones of the country, representatives of various interest groups and other personalities from the South East zone is billed to hold its inaugural meeting tomorrow at the late Okadigbo�s residence in Abuja. A statement from the chairman, publicity committee, Mr. James Okoroma, listed representatives of the six geo-political zones in the committee as Senator Ifeanyi Ararume (South East), Senators Abubakar Girei and Abubakar Mahdi (North East), Senator Gbenga Aluko (South West), Senators Khairat Gwadabe and J. K. N. Waku (North Central), Senator Rolwand Ovwie and Ambassador Patrick Dele Cole (South South) while Alhaji A. Alhaji, Hajia Najatu Mohammed and Professor Ango Abdullahi who represents the North West. Others to send their representatives are former president, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, General Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and the Ogbunike community represented by Engr. George Omeata, Tochukwu Onwugbufor (SAN) and Dr. Maduka Nwakwesi.
