PDP-USA Crisis: Ogbulafor, 8 Others Dragged to Court From Juliana Taiwo in Abuja The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems to have extended beyond the shores of Nigeria as its chapter in the United States of America (USA) has dragged PDP National Secretary, Vincent Ogbulafor and some other PDP top shots to court. According to the official Court documents received from the Superior Court of Suffolk County Massachusetts USA, the plaintiff through his Attorney, Bennett Amadi, Esq. alleges that the defendants caused plaintiff severe emotional distress; loss of reputation; shame; ridicule; loss of association when they uttered, circulated and published highly defamatory statement all aimed at defaming the reputation of the plaintiff, Chief, Sir, Victor Ide-Okoye. The plaintiff claimed $5 million for defamation. The summons have been served on Prince Vincent Ogbulafor (National Secretary PDP Nigeria) Tex Wariboko, Stanley Onye, Simeon Guobadia, Fred Umeh, Austin Nzenwa, Ann zegwu, Charles Ovaiwe and one other co-defendant by the Sheriffs. The court documents revealed that Tex Wariboko (suspended PDP USA Chair-man) and Stanley Onye (suspended General Secretary) claimed that Ogbulafor was the person that authorized them to defame Chief Victor Ide Okoye. According to Ide-Okeye's lawyer Amadi, one Mr. Simeon Guobadia was given a bribe of $2,500.00 to do the dirty work on the Plaintiff. His lawyer is asking the Superior Court of Common-wealth of Massachusetts USA for a jury trial. The date of the trial is yet to be determined while Ide-Okeye said he intends to follow this case.
