AD Disowns Decampee From Tunde Sanni in Ilorin Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Kwara State has disowned one Alhaji Moshood Aigoro who led some politician defecting to the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the state last week. Aigoro according to media reports had led about 4,000 politians from both the AD and the All Nigeria People Party (ANPP) into the ruling PDP in the state. AD through its Publicity Officer, Mr. Ishola Bamidele clarified that the lead decampee ceased to be a party member shortly before last years general elections. "Mr. Aigoro could be described as a political scavenger because for almost two years since he left our party when he lost the party's primary election to the State House of Assembly due to his false declaration of certificates held and other unholy attitude which negate the principle and aims of our party. Aigoro as popular as he has claimed to be could not muster the support of his 4,000 supporters to vote for him so as to win the party's primaries". AD spokesman added that the man's name had been removed from the list of our the party's dedicated and loyal members in his Okaka ward of Ilorin South local government due to alleged anti party activities. "Our party needs people of high repute with unquestionable character and not political flirt swhose ambition is to use politics to make quick money". The party spokesman alluded to the request for government patronage in terms of contract, vehicles for mass transit as well as consideration for pilgrimage.
