New Eatery Opens Shop By Idowu Sowunmi A new fast food restaurant, Red Rooster Chicken Boutic made its debut in to Nigeria's confectionery world. Declaring the fast food restaurant open, Commandant of Bonny Camp, Brig. Gen. Jones Arowogbofa, said the food restaurant is a dream come true. The restaurant, located at 12, University Road, Akoka, is seen by many observers as a timely intervention to cater for students' need as well as that of the populace and Lagosians. In a chat with newsmen shortly after the commissioning ceremony, the eatery joint's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Richard Zannou, noted that though "it is true there is a proliferation of fast food restaurant in Nigeria but when you reflect deeply you will realise that the Nigerian public are not well served. This, I have observed over the past years. Our interest in fast food business dated back to late 1980s when Kingsway Rendevous changed to Mr Biggs. I was very involved with that project and that set a vision for us too. It is quiet instructive that UAC Foods underwent that kind of transformation. The tremendous success achieved in the food industry made us to give same vision for ourselves to carve a niche."
