Fuel Price: Clergy Urges FG to Embrace Dialogue By Justice Ilevbare Archbishop of Lagos, Methodist Church, His Grace, the Most RevSunday Ola Makinde has advised the Federal Government to embrace dialogue with a view to finding lasting solutions to the perennial problems facing the nation and to promote peaceful co-existence among all. Makinde also appealed to labour leaders and other stake holders of the economy to embrace dialogue with the government in finding a lasting solution to the problem at hand rather than going on strike and disrupting the peace of the nation He however cautioned Nigerian leaders on the consequence of any stringent measure that might militate against the welfare and expectations of the numerous suffering masses. In a release signed by Aramide Tola Noibi, public relations officer Lagos Archdiocese, the cleric advised leaders to revisit any decision made and find ways to cushion the sufferings of the people who they assured through their manifesto to alleviate their problems. The cleric warned on the consequences of such unpleasant policies of which if not promptly reversed, might lead to an unimaginable event that might tend to draw back the progress of the nation. "I enjoin all peace loving Nigerians not to take laws into their hands but strive to arrest promptly, any ugly situation that might stem out of the recent increase in pump price."
