A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Senator Abraham Adesanya Foundation has advised Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu to honour the invitation extended to him by the State Security Service SSS as a respectable and prominent citizen of the country.

In a press release signed by the group’s Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Barrister Olabidi Kolawole, the foundation was of the belief that "if the SSS had invited him for a chat concerning the corporate existence of our nation, he should honour it."

The group further warned that Chief Ojukwu should always be thoroughly guarded in his utterances because of his statues as the leader of the defunct state of Biafra that plunged the nation into a 30 months bloodbath between 1967 and 1970, so as "to avert aggravation of emotions in view of the present economic and political state of the nation."

Although the NGO admitted that there was nothing legitimately wrong for anybody to decide whether they want to be part of a union or not if that right of decision did not infringe on the right of others, it however condemned Ojukwu’s open support for MASSOB, "a group that is agitating for the sovereign co-existence of a major geo-political zone the country".
The foundation thereby appealed to the Federal Government to improve on the welfare of the citizenry to avert situations where a group of people could be agitating for self determination.
