Abuja Meeting May Deepen Imo PDP Crisis By Joseph Ushigiale Stakeholders in Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are converging in Abuja today in a meeting that may make or mar the party in the state. Although what would top the agenda of today's meeting, according to THISDAY's investigation is the suspension of its State Chairman, Dr Alex Obi's suspension, however, the purported suspension of the ward Chairman of Omuma in the Oru-East Local Government Area and Okohia in Isiala Mbanno LGA may also put the spanner in the works of any conceivable peace in the near future. Replacement of the suspended ward chairman of Omuma, where Chief Hope Uzodinma comes from, with an Obi protege, is perceived within the party as a last minute effort by Obi and his sympathisers to prepare an escape route and save him from a final expulsion from the party. There is also a suspicion within the Uzodinma camp that the plot, on the other hand, is to compel the newly appointed ward chairman in Omuma, to give evidence against Uzodimma, to affirm that the former Alliance for Democracy governorship candidate is yet to formalise his return to the party.
