Experts Hold Seminar on Security Management

Against the backdrop of increasing threats to security, safety of lives and property in the country, a team of experts has come up with the panacea that will ensure that individuals and corporate organizations survive the perilous times.
They have put together a two-day seminar titled "Sustaining Corporate Profitability Through An Effective Security Management" slated for November 2 and 3, 2004 at Goldengate Restaurant in Ikoyi.
A consortium comprising Ae Property Services Limited, Bignet Limited and Maha Ventures Limited is organizing it. The Security (educational) seminar is targeted at an audience comprising CEOs of companies, operational managers, administrators, human resources/personnel managers, senior security officers/Supervisors, Security operatives, security providers and services companies, foreign nationals, embassy/High Commission staff and all security conscious individuals.
The training programme will feature papers in various areas of security management including evolving practical approach to security service provision and the right expectations. To facilitate in this area is a retired naval officer, Otunba Patrick Kenku. Papers will also feature on safeguarding built environment against fire threats: fire prevention, control and management � the correct practice. Facilitating is Mr. Ola Oke, the Chief Fire Officer in charge of safety prevention in Lagos State. Also to be treated is the legal aspects of security in the workplace, provisions, rights and responsibilities. To facilitate is Mr. Chuks Maha, the President, Watchdog Nigeria and presenter WATCHDOG, a daily morning programme on Eko 89.75 FM. Furthermore, the training will dwell on "Making use of your local police and how to use him without abusing him". The facilitator is Mr. Emman Ighodalo, Superintendent of Police, Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command.
The Managing Director of Ae Property Services Limited, former President of Nigerian Chapter of International Facility Management Association (IFMA), is host of the conference and will deliver the key note address and present the certificates and plaques.
