TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12 , 2004           Gwarzo, NULGE relationship cordial - Chairman THE chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Gwarzo local government chapter of Kano state, Comrade Tukur Datti has expressed satisfaction with the level of mutual co-existence and cooperation between the union and the council management. Comrade Datti who gave the commendation while speaking in an interview in Gwarzo at the weekend disclosed that the council has settled all staff outstanding allowances and they have been collecting their salaries promptly. He also said that the council has given one motor-cycle as a loan to the union for running its secretariat duties while four staff were also given car loan and nine others were also given a motor cycle loan to boost their morale. The chairman therefore appealed to the staff to reciprocate this gesture, to be dedicated and punctual to their work and must always close at the stipulated hours. Comrade Datti also commended the local government administration under Engr. Abdullahi Muhammad for executing laudable projects which have direct effects to the lives of the rural populace. He said such projects include the renovation of offices at the local government secretariat, purchase of new vehicles for the day to day running of the affairs of the council, provision of culverts and drainages, tarring of roads, provision of water, education and health care delivery to the people.
