WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13 , 2004           Governor to monitor funds by satellite GovERNOR Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa state and his finance commissioner, Muhammed Abubakar will soon be monitoring funds coming to government coffers by satellite. This is to ensure accountability in the revenue collection and expenditure profile of the government. Abubakar made the disclosure to newsmen in an interactive session in Lafia. According to him, very soon every Kobo coming to the state government must go through banks to stem the tide of diversion of funds to private pockets. He also said government was working out a modality, whereby, federal government workers living in Karu-Mararaba axis of the state would pay their income tax to the state government. He further said government had spent over N25 million as motor-vehicle loans to 225 employees of the ministry since 2002 to boost their morale.
