Workers Remain Indoors in Osun From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo Workers have continued to keep faith with labour's directive as they stayed indoors and rendered socio-economic activities dormant in Osun State. Government hospitals, schools, agecies such as The National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), NITEL, banks, Governor's Office and the state House of Assembly were shunned by workers. With the exception of a few private vehicles and taxis moved about Osogbo, the capital city, inaction pervaded the state. However, there were no violent protests in the state on the second day of the strike, save the protest embarked upon by the students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife on Monday. The Federal Government has been lampooned by the citizenry, who expressed disgust over the hike, just as members of the public have called on government to revert to old pump prices. Traffic on the roads was light as Fagbewesa, Olaiya, Oke-Fia, Old Garage Idi-Seke, Ogo-Oluwa, Alekuwodo and Station area witnessed low activities even as markets remnained shut.
