Royal Father Urges Return to Work From Dapo Okunmuyide in Ado Ekiti The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe yesterday appealed to workers in the country to return to work to save the economy from total collapse. The traditional ruler appealed to Nigerians to be patient with president Olusegun Obasanjo, saying his reform programmes are capable of improving the nation's economy and effect social development in the nearest future. Oba Adejugbe who made the appeal in a five minutes broadcast on the Federal Radio Corporation (FRCN) in Ado-Ekiti said the need for Federal Government to return to the negotiation table with labour leaders to find a lasting solution to the fuel crisis in the country. The state's commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Otitoju told newsmen in Ado-Ekiti that the state government will not witchhunt any worker for participating in the strike adding that government had no option than to identify with the workers. He enjoined labour leaders in the state to ensure that the strike is not hijacked by miscreants, saying government would not hesitate to deal with anybody who disturbs public peace.
