Yelwa-Shendam: Yoruba Community Raises Alarm By Abimbola Akosile Nearly six months after the ethnic crisis which engulfed Yelwa-Shendm Council of Plateau State, the Yoruba community in the area has declared the where-about of one of their members unknown, while recounting and lamenting over the recent ordeal. In a recent statement issued by the community leaders, one Mr. Solarin Olatokunbo 'G' was alleged to have disappeared during the April conflict, which had claimed hundreds of lives while property worth millions of naira were allegedly destroyed. Olatokunbo, a student of University of Jos, and a member of the Plateau Patriots ,whose name allegedly topped the list of those who were marked for assassination during the civil strife, had hidden in a church while the area was overrun by restless youths. However, the group claimed the same church was torched by the youths, and since then, the youth leader has gone missing, with no information to reveal his present location. According to them, all attempts to locate the said youth, had proved abortive, which had fueled speculation about his current condition.
