FG Urged to Probe Road Repairs Contractor Kogi From Yinka Kolawole in Lokoja Federal Government has been urged to urgently probe contractors handling the road rehabilitation between Egbe, Isanlu and Lokoja for a shoddy job done on the road. Speaking with THISDAY yesterday in Lokoja, social crusader and human rights activist Mr Sabat Abiodun noted that the contractors can best be addressed as fraudulent, since money was released and nothing tangible has been done on the road. Abiodun observed that nothing has been done in terms of rehabilitation or maintenance of the road compared to what took place in Kwara State. The social crusader also condemned the Federal Road maintenance Agency (FERMA) in the State for failure to handle the job with seriousness. Abiodun who called on the federal government to set up monitoring committee to monitor FERMA projects nationwide, also advocated for construction of new roads than rehabilitation or maintenance. He was equally of the view that FERMA was a failure, and called on the federal government to equally probe FERMA activities in Kogi.
