Management of the five- star hotel said the discount would last till the end of this month. Gov. Chris Ngige of Anambra State is scheduled to commission the hotel. Chief executive officer (CEO) of Pokobros Group of Companies which owns the magnificent hotel, Chief Paul Okonkwor, told Daily Champion that the slash in suite rates was "our little way of spoiling our teeming guests." The commissioning coincides with Chief Okonkwor�s 62nd birthday. The hotel�s public relations officer (PRO) Mr. Rowland Uyamadu through whom Chief Okonkwor spoke, outlined other activities that would make the commissioning unprecedented in the area. He said the famous Nkpokiti dance group, Izapa masquerade and eight other dance groups drawn from across the state would entertain guests as a measure to showcase the cultural heritage of Ndigbo and hospitality. Security has already been beefed up in and around the hotel with security men using metal detectors to screen visitors to the place in a bid to avoid any untoward occurrences. In the past few days, finishing touches were being put to arrangements for a successful commissioning. Already, guests have been enjoying the top-of-the range facilities and services in the hotel in the run-up to tomorrow�s grand event.
