Alli Urges Resolution of Boundary Disputes Plateau State Sole Administrator, Maj. Gen. Chris Alli (rtd), has appealed to National Boundary Commission (NBC) to resolve disputes over farmlands and other contentious issues across the country. Alli made the appeal yesterday in Jos when he received a delegation from NBC led by Prof. Sam Amdii, in his office. He said whatever the problem was, communities should not resort to violence as there were established channels for conflict resolution. He added that to resort to violence was futile because the farmlands people fought over would mean nothing if they died in the process. According to him, the more skirmishes occur over disputed farmlands and boundaries, the more havoc they would create. In his remarks, Amdii said there was much hope for unity and co-operation between communities because they shared common homogeneous ties. He noted that the commission found out that the people of Plateau and Bauchi States share similarities culturally, economically and historically, though they were not homogeneous.
