Albarka Wins Brand of the Year Award Albarka Air Plc has won the 2004 Brand of the Year award at the national Institute of Marketing Award for marketing Excellence. At a ceremony held at the MUSON Centre, Lagos, the organisers picked Albarka Air ahead of other airline operators because of its in-flight service rating, share of passenger volume and brand image perception. Presenting the award which was received on behalf of the airline, by its Managing Director, Colo�nel Honest Stephens (rtd), the organisers commended Albarka for consistently proving its mettle in the turbulent aviation sector. At the event, the airline also won the service of the year award in the airline category. Reacting to the awards, its Public Affairs Manager, Alhaji Biodun Odunuga described it as a recognition of the impeccable service delivery, that is the hallmark of the airline, describing it "as a challenge for us to be conscious of air service delivery at all times." He said the airline would always do things that will make their teeming passengers proud of the service they are getting whenever they board an Albarka flight.
