Mr Bigg's Opens 107th Restaurant

Mr Bigg's, a division of UACN Plc and the leading player in Nigeria's quick service restaurant market has commissioned its 107th restaurant for full operation in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The commissioning took place on Wednesday, October 13.
The new restaurant, located at Tunga-Bosso road, the city's main artery, is the first of its kind in Minna and is indeed the very first quick service restaurant outlet to be sited in the entire Niger State by a major restaurant chain playing in the Nigerian market.
The commissioning was attended by the creme of Minna society. The Deputy Governor, Dr Shem Zagbayi Nuhu, stood in for the governor as special guest of honour at the event.
The traditional institution was represented by the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Farouk Bahago whereas the state police commissioner sent in a representative.
The UACN Plc delegation was led by the company's chairman, Lt-Gen. Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi (rtd) and included the MD/CEO, Ayo Joshua Ajayi, Divisional Managing Director, Mr Bigg's, Chris Adedipe, Public Relations Adviser, Duro Onabolu and other ranking officials.
In his address at the opening, Lt.-Gen. Wushishi informed the audience that 'UACN Plc was a wholly owned Nigerian company and a foremost player inthe private sector of the Nigerian economy. It has business interests spread nationwide in the manufacturing, technical, sales and service, logistical and warehousing, as well as agricultural and service sectors.' Mr Bigg's, he pursued, 'has transformed within a very short time from a uni-city operation to an impressive presence of 107 restaurants in over 34 cities within Nigeria with one offshore restaurant in Accra, Ghana. Mr Bigg's has maintained its position as a market leader through a focus on the strategy of running a customer-focused retail driven operation anchored on the core values of quality products, enthusiastically friendly customer service, hygiene, health, safety and value for money," he concluded.
In his own address, the MD/CEO of UACN Plc, declared that the commitment to satisfying customers was the motivation for 'bringing the delicious experience of Mr Bigg's to Minna.' He assured that Mr Bigg's, Minna, like all other Mr Bigg's restaurants was physically accessible, constructed to provide comfort through a very friendly ambience. it would also offer menu that is rich in taste and variety, in addition to play areas for children. Mr Bigg's, Minna, he assured, 'will transform the social life of the city by providing a rendezvous for families and a titillating experience for the young.'
The opening's special guest of honour and governor of Niger State who was represented by his deputy, Dr Shem Zagbayi Nuhu, welcomed Mr Bigg's to Minna. He assured that the state offered a clement operating environment for the private sector through its peaceful environment and social infrastructure, particularly a road network that was well-maintained. Conscious state policy also ensures that minimal redtape confronts the private investor in their interface with government in the state. He enjoined other private sector organisations to 'emulate Mr Bigg's, a world class restaurant, in deeming Niger State a worthy investment destination.'
