Cultist Attack: 3 Hospitalised Delta Three young men are on the danger list as doctors at Maduemezie hospital in Asaba, Delta state, battle to save their lives following suspected attack by some cultists at the weekend. Sources said the victims, all indigenes of Asaba, were attacked in separate incidents in the state capital and were rushed to the hospital immediately after the attacks. As at the time of filing this report, the medical team are battling to save their lives at the intensive care. One of the victims was said to have just completed his final year examination at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, was allegedly attacked by the suspected cultists around Zappa Primary School, Asaba. "He was rushed into the hospital at about 10am barely 35 minutes after one other was rushed in from another end of the town," a hospital source disclosed. As doctors and nurses battled to save the two lives, the third victim was brought to the hospital by a Peugeot 504 Saloon, marked AE370 ASB. Some of the persons who brought the injured persons to the hospital said they were victims of cult attacks. A source said cult activities which crept into the state capital recently had claimed the lives of some of their suspected members. Delta State Police command spokesman, Victor Obasuyi (ASP), when contacted, said he had not received any report on it.
