FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22 , 2004           Jigawa MPs accused of dancing to Saminu's tune From MU'AWUYA B. IDRIS, Dutse A MEMBER of federal House of Representative from Jigawa state, Alhaji Faruk Adam has carpeted his collegues from the state for failure to check the misdeeds of Governor Saminu Turaki. He said it is surprising on how his collegues turned themselves "yester boys" for greadness, of fancy things from government. It could be recalled that eleven members of federal House of Representative representing Jigawa took an oath and agreed to correct some of misdeeds of Governor Turaki. The lawmakers formed themselves and distance themselves from some of the policies of Governor Turaki. However, ten members later back out and left Alhaji Faruk Adamu alone for the reason that they cannot fight with Governor Turaki. But, Alhaji Adamu told reporters at press conference in Dutse that he is not happy with the way his collegues back out in the struggle to salvage the state. Alhaji Adamu explained that his disagreement on some of the policies of Governor Turaki is not personal, but "I am trying to help him, to be in honest and sincere person and behave as Governor". "Looking at the political situation in Jigawa, I would believe with anybody especially people chose to Governor Turaki he added. On the alleged decamping of Governor Turaki to PDP, the lawmaker said he wonder that since the breaking of the news of Governor Turaki alleged decamping none of his political associate denied it. He confirmed that a meeting was held between, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Turaki and his political associates to support Atiku's ambition for 2007 president election.
