Madam Ogunkanmi is Dead A society leader and matriarch of Balogun's compound in Agurodo community, Ejigbo Local Government area of Osun State, Madam Ruth Oguntohun Ogunkanmi, is dead. She died on September 21 at the uniquely ripe age of 131 years. Late Madam Ogunkanmi hailed from Ile-Oosa in Ola, Ejigbo Local Government, but married into Balogun's compound in Agurodo where she became the longest surviving individual in her generation. She was married to Balogun Solomon Ogun-kanmi Farinto, the community's chief warrior. The remains of the matriarch would be laid to rest today, October 23, in Agurodo following a funeral service at the First Baptist Church (FBC), Agurodo.
